Are Homeschool Curriculums Accredited?
Are homeschool curriculums accredited? I have homeschooled my daughter now for the past two years through a private Christian homeschool but have decided the program isn't the best for her. I have been looking into many others but am confused with the "choose you own curriculum" thing. I want to be sure she will have the credits needed if we choose to enroll her back in public school but I can't seem to find anything on it!
My daughter is 12 and should be in the seventh grade, however due to her medical condition she has not started seventh grade yet. I let her have a little time off and now need to get her going asap! I am a single mom of two and had to quit work to care for my daughter. Her health condition made it impossible for her to go to school everyday, which is why I started homeschooling her. She also suffers from ADD, as I did too and understand her needs. I am on a tight budget but want to make sure I am providing the best education for her.
Any thoughts are appreciated!

Yes, there are a number of accredited curriculums. However they come with a price tag attached. I would first check with HSLDA for the homeschooling laws in Idaho. The Accredited Home School Programs page will guide you toward a few programs you might be interested in.
I realize that "choosing your own curriculum" can be daunting at first, but it really is a personal family decision. This Middle School Home Schooling page will give you an idea of what we did for 7th Grade. I took advantage of the freedom here in Wisconsin to choose programs our children and I enjoyed.
You mentioned you're on a tight budget. We were, too! :) But there are ways to bring in that extra cash. Some are easy, others not so much. I've tried a number of home businesses and would be happy to share my experiences with you. Maybe I would be able to steer you in the right direction and save you time and money in the long run!
