Horse Shoe Park Bench

This horse shoe park bench was the 2007 Illinois State Fair winner in Arts/Metals. It is made of 140 authentic worn horseshoes welded together. I got the idea from another bench that I saw at an auction earlier that year. I changed the design from the bench at the auction and made it more durable and comfortable to sit on.

It took approximately 8 hours to lay it all out and weld it together and spray paint it black.

Love it!

Only one problem with it. Could you have made a cushion with it? That would have made it even more comfortable! Otherwise, I would have bought it!

Cool!

What a clever idea! It looks like it will seat two people comfortably. I can see why it won the state award. Congratulations!
