Rod and Staff then Saxon

by Owen
(Australia)

We start with Rod and Staff - it is great for building very fundamental skills and familiarity in a friendly way. Little children do not feel over-awed and it provides solid progress.

After third grade we move across to Saxon, and supplement or augment it via the DIVE CDs which address each and every Saxon lesson in its own 10 minute "heads up" video lesson.

Mathematics takes about an hour per school day.

We have chosen to let our homeschooling pathway take us into the local online TAFE system (Technical and Further Ed) at Grade 10 (New South Wales, Australia) and thus far we are more than happy with the solid foundation our work in the Rod and Staff plus Saxon and DIVE system has provided!

God Bless
