How many hours does a high schooler need to work for?

I need to know how long to teach my child.

Jennifer,

You will find this answered for someone wanting to teach their 7th grade granddaughter: http://www.homeschool-rewards.com/time-spent-homeschooling.html High school would not be much different. In fact, experience has shown me that the older they get the more independent they become, requiring even less time from you.

Please know that preparation is the key. Take time to talk over with your child what their goals are and go from there. Be sure to keep a record of their studies for their transcript: http://www.homeschool-rewards.com/homeschool-transcript.html, should they want to attend college.

All the best to you!
