Banana Bread!

by Kyle
(Minnesota)

3 or 4 ripe bananas, mashed
1/3 cup melted butter
1 cup sugar
1 egg beaten
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp baking soda
pinch of salt
1 tsp cinnamon
1 1/2 cups of all purpose flour
1/2 cups crushed nuts (optional)
Brown sugar (optional)

Preheat oven to 350F

Pour melted butter over mashed bananas and mix. Add sugar, egg, and vanilla. Continue to mix by hand. Add baking soda, salt, cinnamon and flour. Mix. If you using nuts add them in now.

Grease bread pan and pour batter into pan.

Sprinkle brown sugar on top, if using. The brown sugar is probably my favorite part when the banana bread is cooked. It gives it a crunchy sweet topping.

Bake for 1 hour. Let cool, then serve!
